In what promises to be a remarkable and fulfilling day for the Super Eagles Supporters Club, arrangements are being concluded to honour Nigeria’s foremost Oil and Gas Company, Aiteo and Ethiopian Airlines amongst others on the long list of organisations and individuals earmarked for the rewarding day. Safari News can authoritatively disclose that at the maiden Fund Raising and Awards Night of the Supporters Club, various Nigeria’s professionals from diverse fields, enviable sports personalities are billed to witness the event coming up on Friday, May 24, 2019, at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Ikeja, Lagos.

Coming from the Secretariat of the Super Eagles Supporters Club, an official statement has it that, “In view of Aiteo’s enormous contributions to the development of football in the country and Africa in general, we had no choice than to include the company among the leading recipients billed to pick awards on the memorable night.”

And in recognition of the outstanding posture of the award, the National Chairman of the Super Eagles Supporters Club, Prince Vincent Okumagba, confirmed that the Executive Vice President of Aiteo, Mr. Francis Peters, would be physically present to receive the awards on behalf of the company.

In his words, Okumagba said, “They (Aiteo) have done so much in reenergizing the sports sector, particularly football. You can’t talk of Nigerian football without mentioning the company. They have taken over the sponsorship of the NFF and CAF Annual Awards and also the FA Cup”.

Also included on the list awardees are Ethiopian Airlines, Adron Homes and Yetkem.

A top official of the Super Eagles Supporters Club also told Safari News that the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, would be the Royal Father of the day.

Other awardees include Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi and Kessington Adebutu, Sports Minister, Barr. Solomon Dalung and Nigeria Football Federation President and CAF Vice President, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick. Both will also serve as the Distinguished Guest of Honour and Special Guest of Honour respectively.
