He is not doubt, one of the most popular politicians and philanthropists in Ijaye Ojokoro community. The person of Hon. Oladipupo Okeyomi, fondly called Carry Go is known to many as young at heart, highly affable and accommodating. Tha Master’s Degree holder, qualified administrator, security consultant, farmer and contractor is sure of the most loved in Ojokoro where he’s proud of large party loyalists and lovers who would do anything to foster good development and progress for his party, APC. Also fondly referred to as “Hope of the Masses”, Okeyomi took time to look at his past during an exclusive 50th birthday anniversary interview with SAFARI NEWS. He reeled out so much on the significance of his party, APC on Nigeria, why he’s undaunted about Nigeria, his vision for Ojokoro and how he feels being 50.
Carry Go, in his usual activism exertions also spoke with SAFARI Publisher, DELE ABERUAGBA the real untold reason why Governor Akinwunmi Ambode actually lost the APC ticket to run for the second term, the influence of his political fathers, Gov. Rauf Aregbesola and the person he refers to as his Grand Commander, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his political career.
One thing the Ojokorians will be looking forward to know from the camp of Okeyomi will be, will he be ready to run again for the Ojokoro LCDA Chairmanship position, hear him; I cannot say now, it is my party leaders that would inform me they want me for a particular position. When they deem that fit, they will call on me and tell me when to come out and run.
Meanwhile, all roads lead to the C & S church at Moshalashi today, Sunday where a special birthday thanksgiving service will be held in honour of Okeyomi. All party faithfuls, well-wishers, associates, friends, families and invited guests will also be entertained at the church which has since wore colourful looks of Carry Go’s banners and posters in commemoration of his birthday anniversary.
