He is no doubt one of the top Fuji music sensations in Nigeria’s showbiz industry way back 90’s. Having been busy dusting his musical career in the United Kingdom and America where he’s been under-studying musical production gurus, Asimiyu Ajebori in a chance meet with Safari News’s Publisher told of how he will change the Fuji music scene in the coming New Year.
With his super stagecraft and highly entertaining rich voice, Ajebori was quick to say he played down on Nigeria’s engagements and public shows because he was desirous to awakening the rather “sleepy” fuji scene in the country.
“This was the major reason why I took time to embark on international musical study in the UK, but am happy to say that this has greatly yielded fruits which will soon be made visible in the Nigerian scene any moment from now”, he said.
As one of the major Fuji acts rubbing shoulders with the highly notable Fuji musicians in the country way back in the 90’s, Ajebori was reluctant to confirm the speculated international musical tour he played last year where he met with major foreign stars. All he volunteered was that the time has come for Fuji to reclaim its leading indigenous status that dictates the richness of Nigeria’s musical prowess.
As his music band hits Ogun state this weekend to feature at this year’s “Ago-Iwoye” Day, Ajebori has promised to display what he terms as a day of Reckoning for Fuji music lovers. “Looking beyond the shores of Nigeria he told Safari News has been greatly rewarding and this we shall be exhibiting in Ago-Iwoye this weekend.
Safari News also squealed that Ajebori who’s the main star of the night in Ago-Iwoye may be playing host to two entertainment giants at his; Nigeria’s foremost showbiz manager, former manager of Adewale Ayuba, Sheriff Aderounhunmu, now based in the USA and UK-based veteran journalist/Publisher, Dele Aberuagba (former editor, Prime People & Daily Times) who are said to be perfecting Ajebori’s new career’s projection in Nigeria.
