His journey from grass to grace is such a humble one. Without blinking an eye, he displays a high level of humility, even to younger ones. Meeting Chief Oladejo Akinloye for the very first time would confirm to you that, not only was he raised from a down-to-earth family background, the highly attractive respect he gives to both the young and old confirms that he had nurtured his personality to such an enviable one.
Today, call him a market leader, astute businessman, motor dealer, community leader or senior citizen, you will not be far from being right. Not only is he today, one of the most populous indigene in Ojokoro as the Babaloja-General of Ojokoro land in Ifako-Ijaye Local Community Development Area, Chief Akinloye has over the past 23 years been a consistent member of the Nigerian Football Supporters’ Club.
As a sound believer in Nigeria’s image projector through his support for the various football exertions across the world, the Genereal as he’s fondly called by admirers has travelled far and wide to not less than 20 countries in the world, supporting Nigeria’s football encounters. So, the contest began in the last couple of weeks.
Against the elections coming up on Saturday, December 10, 2017, Akinloye has procured his form and ready to face the poll come December 10.
Highly competent source spoken to by Safari News confirmed that “General” is looking forward to the clinching the treasurer position of the Supporters Club at the elections as he has the backing and support of virtually all the key and entire members.
He’s been quoted as saying, “What I have been busy doing all my life is business and being a profound market leader as Babaloja-General, I have a lot to do in my community but since it’s a unanimous thing from members that appreciates my wealth of experience, I do not have an option than to agree to vie for the treasurer position of the Club”.
As at press time, a good number of Akinloye’s friends, associates and loyalists have embarked on a journey to Abuja to drum support for their own whom they strongly believe will bring new initiatives, business networking and image projection to the Nigerian Football Supporters’ Club.
